Where have I been?

I know, I know, I was going to finish the blog ratings, and I still hope to get around to that at some point. I’ve just been enjoying my summer…and, to be honest, I haven’t really felt a burning desire to get on FT very much. 😛 If you want to talk to me, it’s probably best to contact me on BRD (I check WP every day, though). I might also be unable to get on Fantage this weekend, so I won’t be experiencing the new event as much as you guys. I got on earlier and the starfish hunt wasn’t on, so…yeah. :/

I also try to keep my posts about FT or FTWP instead of other stuff, so that’s why I haven’t been spamming people’s WP Readers. Not that I ever did that before. 😆

  1. Followed all of them. I know what it’s like to feel excluded. Sometimes I hear about Fantage hangouts and such, but I only know that one person who posted about talking there so it’d be awkward of I asked if I could join. It sucks to kinda be that outsider in a community, y’know?

    • Yep. I don’t want to download Google Hangouts, but then you hear all this stuff about people chatting there and writing stories with each other in them and it kind of gets to the point where you have to roll your eyes and go “Seriously?” :/
      (Also, for some reason, my comments are being bolded when I go to reply to you. How do I fix that? Do you know?)

      • It’s the exact same for me. I think it’s some wordpress addition. I don’t see the bolded parts at all when you read comments at someone’s blog though. It actually upsets me when I have no idea what they’re talking about, and that no one bothered to ask me if I wanted to join. I recently heard about someone adding a hacker’s old account into the chat so everyone freaked out. At least I’m not apart of silly drama!

      • Funny, because it just got added less than five minutes ago. But yeah, WP makes a lot of stupid changes and it takes way too long to get accustomed to them. Like all those times they’ve changed the Reader around… :/ Honestly, I’m happy I’m not part of the drama, either. Especially since it seems to involve the same five or so people, all of who kind of end up getting on my nerves. 🙄

      • I actually seen my comments turning bold two days ago actually. Maybe it just didn’t affect you until now, it kinda goes and comes back. And oh well, majority of the Fantage wordpress community is filled with kids, they’re just immature. In fact, I was pretty immature when I was 11-12 years old and it’s only recently that I’ve matured.

      • Oh, really? Hopefully it’ll be gone soon. -_- Yeah, like I’ve said before, I’m not that used to being in a community with immature bloggers. And hell, I know I’m still maturing now, but I don’t think I was ever THIS bad… I certainly knew how to use grammar back then. 😛

      • I think it’s really the fact that parents aren’t being parents anymore. In fact, most people in my class are incredibly immature. I know people who are a few years older than me who are more immature than me, because of this I’ve had people over the internet think I’m an adult/late teen! And no one seems to care about grammar when they’re online anymore. I think that if you’re going to try to make a blog about a certain topic you should at least try to sound professional for the most part. Fun fact: I know a lot of people over the internet who writes with TERRIBLE grammar, yet they get better English grades than me! Ugh.

      • Yeah, a lot of parents are less strict than they were a few generations ago, BUT it IS pretty hard to keep track of where your kids are on the Internet. I’ve had people think I’m over 18 before, so… And I get it if people want to act differently on the Internet than they do for school, but do you really have to act THAT stupidly? REALLY? (Well, at least the people you know are smarter than the people I know. Half the kids at my school don’t even care about grammar THERE.) 😛

      • Hmm, don’t you do online schooling? Do you talk to your other peers using it? The funny thing is though, the people in my class occasionally make grammar mistakes, but it’s just that their word choice and the way they say things make it sound better. I’ve also noticed that in school they don’t really teach much about grammar as much anymore, since I went to a kindergarten to grade eight school, and sometimes we have to teach the little kids stuff. (IT SUCKS I TELL YOU, I GO TO SCHOOL TO LEARN NOT TEACH LITTLE KIDS.)

      • Yeah, but you can see other people’s stuff sometimes. 😛 Ugh, I hate it when people say that. I saw a completely stupid Tumblr post once that said good grammar wasn’t important because the Internet has its own type of grammar. Just…NO. And aww, that must’ve sucked for you. 😦 We did have to learn about grammar in specific units up until a couple of years ago, so maybe it’s just your school? 😛

      • My school is really ghetto and small so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s really just my school. Haha. I honestly hate tumblr and I don’t use it for many reasons, but if I mentioned them all I’m pretty sure a lot of people who use tumblr will hate me.

      • I don’t use it, either, but I do go on to look at some of the crap people spew on there. And what are the reasons? 😛 It’s not like they’ll come on here and send hate as soon as you say them. 😆

      • (Sorry for late reply, I went to bed.) Well, there are tons of feminists who say that they’re so much better than men (remember when feminism was for equality for both genders?) There are tons of made up genders on tumblr. Like, how do you feel non-binary? How do you feel like something that doesn’t have a physical form, that doesn’t exist? I mean, interests and things you like and wear doesn’t determine your gender. You don’t wear girl clothing, you wear clothing. You don’t like boy stuff, you like stuff. According to tumblr I’m “genderfluid” but absolutely not, I’m female. Just because sometimes I look at males and think that I wish I was born as one, but at a different time I’m glad that I’m female doesn’t mean that I’m a different gender. I’m also not a girly person, so I don’t like those posts about girly things such as fashion and crap.
        It’s just mainly filled with a community I obviously wouldn’t go along well.

      • OMFG, I HATE THOSE PEOPLE. There’re a ton of made-up sexualities, as well. There’s one for not being attracted to girls on their periods… Like, seriously? And don’t get me started on the ideas of “otherkin” and “multiples”. Those are just stupid. -_-
        I personally don’t have an account on it because people there like to dox people who disagree with them, and honestly, I see absolutely no point in joining. 😛
        There are a bunch of Tumblr blogs that showcase really crappy SJW posts that make no sense, though, if you’re interested in that. 😆

      • I’m not really interested in anything in tumblr, and definitely don’t want to be associated with those people. I was actually afraid that you’ll disagree with me with the gender idea, since my friend got mad at me for saying that I find gender thing silly. But seriously, there are only two genders (boy and girl, and transgender isn’t a gender, but a different thing itself.) And there are only five sexualities (hetero, homo, bi, a, and pan), with some extensions (such as demisexual being an extension of asexual.) Tumblr makes everything complicated, geez.

      • Oh, now I’m thinking of this one person who thought transgender/transsexual was a sexuality… -___- Honestly, I’m not even sure about demisexuality, because from what I’ve seen of it, wouldn’t it apply to most people? But yeah, they really do. 🙄

      • Most people actually easily fall in love (get sexually attracted) by just looking at someone, than knowing them well. I only know one person who’s a demisexual. And who thinks trans is a sexuality…? It’s a completely different thing. People are strange, I tell you.

      • Yeah, but I’ve heard people say that people who aren’t a/demisexual want to sleep with strangers right away or something like that. And that society ENCOURAGES this. Like, I’m pretty sure that almost all sex ed tells you to WAIT before doing it…
        Actually, the person who thought that might not have been on Tumblr. I know it was either Tumblr or Gaia, though. 😆

      • Nah, demisexual just means that you only feel sexually attracted when you know them well. I’m not a demisexual, so I might get turned on if I see a handsome guy, but I won’t sleep with them at all at first sight. Kinda wish I was a demisexual though, so I don’t see people in another way besides my significant other. Sex ed taught me sex facts and told us how to have safe sex. 😛 they of course try to tell us not to do it before marriage, but that’s not going to stop anyone. Kinda sad that only 30% who graduate highschool stay as virgins, while the rest lose it. In fact at the end of grade 10 50% of highschool students lose it already.

      • According to Tumblr, though, you can CHOOSE your sexual orientation! 😀 So you could be whatever sexuality you wanted as long as you wanted to be it! 😀 I’m pretty sure sex ed is different depending on what type of school you go to (i.e. religious schools are more likely to teach abstinence education specifically), but yeah. I read somewhere that the average age people lost their virginity was 15… So that sounds about right. 😛

      • OH MY, I WANNA BE ATTRACTED TO PHONES AND ONLY PHONES, SO MY SEXUALITY IS PHONESEXUAL! Lolno. I actually am going to a Catholic school for highschool, and what my brother told me who already graduated is that people in Catholic schools are sex crazy, none of them follow the “sex after marriage” rule. It’s actually pretty sad that a lot of people aren’t following the reasonable rules in a religion yet are mad if someone’s gay, even though the bible never said being gay was a sin at all.

      • BUT WHAT’S YOUR ROMANTIC ORIENTATION?!?!?!?! Wait, really? Most Catholic people I know are a little more devout than that. 😛 And I don’t know this for sure, but I think there was a part in the Bible where two cities were burnt down because all the men in them were gay… That’s just what I’ve heard most people say, though.

      • I haven’t read the bible, but I know people who do and they said that it’s never mentioned that being gay is a sin, however the reason why people think being a gay is a sin, is because in the English version of the bible it is said that “you do not treat a man like you would treat a woman.” But the bible meant that you do not make a man clean the house and cook food. So I’m not too sure myself.

      • Hi, I’m just going to randomly jump into the conversation. I, myself don’t read the bible much but my friend is highly religious and has told me that the translators of the bible put in their own ideas of woman. ♡
